Graduation is coming

Sarah and I went out and played around in the back yard with Josh's camera the other day. She still needed her graduation photo taken. It was really fun using his camera and the lens that he had rented. Crazy expensive, but lots of fun to use. The camera and the lens sell for over $2,000 !!!! Boy is it nice to use. Here are a few pictures that I took. You can tell that they are "raw" and have not been cleaned up yet.

I had planned to upload lots of photos, but our computer is not running very well right now. So that is all for now. :)

Fieldtrips

Becca and I have been enjoying springtime lately. We have gone on 2 field trips. Last week it was a farm and this week it was a stage coach stop. Lots of fun with friends.
They are getting ready for a hey ride.
This was so cute. The goat that she is holding the neck of was so pushy. The whole time she fed the lazy little guy on the ground the other one was trying to get the bottle. He was very persistent. :)
Hanging out in the one room school house.

This starts the photos at the stage coach stop.
They were learning what it was like to pan for gold if they had taken the stagecoach on the California stage.
This was the stage coach that she got to ride on.

They got to learn about life on the trail.

Blessings,

More of Chicago

I had the hardest time with these photos. I had NO problem on Monday downloading the photos, then Tuesday and Wednesday ~ no deal. It took our sweet son, Josh, to figure it out!

These are not all very clear as they were taken on a phone, but here they are.

There were 48 teams competing from all over the states. Zach's team made it thru 2 rounds and Sarah's made it thru 4 rounds. They were in it until there were only 9 teams. So they did really well.

This photo is funny. Little Sarah is the anchor of the Tug Of War team! That is her in the back of the 3 girls! Tee HeeJust a group shot of getting some words of wisdom from one of the games coaches.
Sorry about the blurriness. The above is Sarah and Zach's Quiz team. Don't know if this is before or after competition. They made it thru 3 rounds, but then got eliminated.
Here they are after Quizzing competition showing off their medals!

By all accounts they are having a good time and have not been witness to anymore incidents of "police brutality". ;)

That is all for now!

Blessings,

Kids in Chicago!

The 2 middle children traveled to Chicago on Sunday with a group of about 30 or so. They are up there for the National Awana Summit gathering. They will spend a day competing in Awana "games" and 2 days with "quizzing". Plus there will be a bit of fun, I'm sure.
Today was a fun day. Touring Chicago, seeing Lake Michigan, museum visit and eating deep dish Chicago style pizza. They got to ride the train into the city and then they rode the subway in town. I'm told the subway was a bit creepy. :)

Last night while they were in a hamburger place a man ran in with 2 police officers chasing him. Tazers, yelling, hand cuffs, and claims of "police harassment" all went on. Guess I'm glad we live in a small town!

That is all for now.

An easter message from Rebecca (and Dad)

Today was a wonderful day. We had an excellent day at church with a good reminder of the specialness of this day. Tonight when I got home from evening service some young artist (Rebecca) had drawn a wonderful message on our driveway. She capured the whole message of Easter in two pictures.

First...
and second...

What a powerful message, simply portrayed. There really is nothing more to say except ... HE IS RISEN INDEED.
