I'm having so much fun uploading photos from my phone that I thought I would do it again! Today is Kevin's birthday and just thought you all should know that. :)
Here is the chocolate carousel that I told you about. It was set up over night at our resort that we stayed at in Orlando. 
Kevin had a leadership conference to go to in Orlando this past week. I was able to go along on this one and we had a great time. We stayed in a Disney Resort which was incredible. One evening we went to our room and everything looked like normal. We went to the lobby at 6:30 am the next morning and it had been transformed. Christmas everywhere! Garland, lights, trees, and even a chocolate carousel. It was so neat to see how it had transformed. Wish someone would come into our house every year and do that for us. I LOVE to have the house decorated, but I do not enjoy the decorating!
One evening we drove over to Brandon to visit with some friends. We had a great dinner at Bucca di Beppo. We were given the "Pope room" as you can see from the decor. It was great because it was a round room so we could visit across the table pretty well. We had not seen these friends for 4 1/2 years and it was a wonderful time to catch up. 
The temps in Orlando were in the low 80's and lots of sun. It was soooooo nice. Then when I landed in KC it was 41`, overcast, and windy! UGH 
This activity is soon to be done for another year. Not something that any of us will be sad to be done with!
This is what our patio looked like for a couple of weeks. I don't remember it being this thick last year.
We have to remember that the blessing of seeing leaves like the photo below come before the job in the photos earlier!
This is what I made this morning for Kevin to take into work for his staff group. The dog got me up at 4:10 am so I got an early start on them.
They rose A LOT ~ all over the bottom of my oven! Enough drippings that they caught on fire! Thus the baking soda all over the bottom of what had been my clean oven. So the 2nd half of the cooking time the oven was filled with smoke. Kevin said that they had a small amount of "smokey flavor" , but that cream cheese frosting covers a multitude of flavors! :)
Fires~ strange things to have in your homes. A month ago I had turned on our space heater in our bathroom then got into the shower. (yes I like to be warm when I step out) I soon smelled a "hot" smell and opened the shower door to see flames covering the opening of the heater. Well, I had a head full of shampoo bubbles ~ not the way that you want to be to put out a fire!!!! But I was soon out of the shower, pulled the plug and started yelling for Josh who met me at the door and took it outside. All was well. Now today the oven fire. Enough all ready! But I'm thankful that they were both quickly over and taken care of. (the oven is on self cleaning mode right now)
Today we headed to KC for a field trip. Last quarter the 3 youngest studied WWI in school. So a visit to the National WWI monument/museum was in order. Since Kevin had the day off today we made the trip. It is truly one of the best museums that I have ever been to. It was wonderful. Sunny and bright ~ made it all that much better.
The monument has been there since 1926, but the museum that was build under the monument has only been open since 2006.
