Becca's Been Busy

I went out in the living room today and this is what I found:Becca has gotten to be a good little crocheter. She had made a washcloth yesterday and a potholder this morning. I guess I am a proud mama!

Grilled pizza tonight

Here is our dinner from tonight. Yummy. Grilled pizza. I made small ones so that everyone could top their own as they pleased, plus they are easier to get on and off the grill if they are smaller.Well, I did serve a large salad with it, too! ;)

Summer time!!!

I guess one good thing about this outrageously HOT weather is when your child wants to play in the sprinkler before 8 AM !!


We have had heat indexes for about a week that have been 105 to 115 ! The sprinkler looked good to me also! Can I just say that I am REALLY looking forward to fall weather! :)

Garden pictures from today

OK, so my best intentions were not fulfilled ~ again. I guess computer time is not always at the top of my to do list!

Here is what Zach and I picked from the garden today. Zucchini, purple peppers, okra, watermellon, a few green beans and lots and lots of tomatoes! Pink ladies, another large kind that I can not remember what it is called, some yellow pears, romas and some large cherry. So good!
Here are a few things going on around here lately:
1) Becca had a fever over the weekend, but it seems to be gone today. She is a bit sad because she missed the last few days of play time with her friends as they have now gone back to school for the year!
2) I ordered have finished most of our school book shopping as of today! Wahoo. I think we will be starting in 2 weeks, but have not sat down with a calendar to plan it out. That is still on my todo list.
3) I took Sarah to a community college yesterday for orientation. She plans to take a few classes this fall. New territory for her!
4) Josh is finishing up his college. Very close to being done!
5) I have finally (after 2 years) found a walking partner. We are walking 3 miles 5X a week. :) I'm so happy to be disciplined again to exercise. I guess I just don't have it in me to do it on my own.
6) Kevin just started school again last Friday. New class, all those new pencil boxes and brand new boxes of crayons!!!!! Tee Hee
7) Found out that Kevin's next trip to Poland falls over both Becca and Sarah's birthdays. :(
8) Got a new picket fence in the back yard ~ today. Looks so nice! And now the dog can't escape (or at least she hasn't figured out how this afternoon)That is all for now!
