Those are a few things that happened here today. Plus Zach shoveled 5 or 6 driveways, Josh worked all day, Sarah went sledding with some friends and Kevin took Sarah and Zach to Awana quizzing and games practice this evening. That's all from here! Kathy

We had visitors
Here are a few pics of our trip to a Carousel Museum this morning.
Little Sarah is 12 weeks old ~ what a cutie!
Josh didn't like the ride so he got off early and this is how he looked the rest of the time that the carousel was going! :)

Sarah decided to document Becca's life right now with the camera:
This is how she feels: (fever of 100.6)
This is what she was watching at the time that Sarah had the camera out:
She has also watched the following today:
Music Man
Annie
Ratatouille
Charlie Brown
She has also crocheted a potholder since she has been on the couch.

Fried Ravioli
Last night we made a little treat. Josh had found a video of someone making these on the web and he shared it with me. Here is the gang working on this project:
here is a close up of one of them:
Many hands make light the work :)
The recipe ~ wonton wrappers, brush beaten eggs on the edges and put a spoonful of Nutella in the center. Fold in half and push the edges closed.
Fry for 45 seconds:

Sprinkle with powdered sugar:

Enjoy them!!!!

Lefse for lunch?
Today for lunch I made a batch of Lefse. For those of you that have not heard of lefse before ~ it is basically a tortilla made of potatoes. I think it is of Norwegian origin. I remember my mom making them occasionally when I was little. We had some left over mashed potatoes in the refrigerator so we made some. We served them warm with butter and cinnamon & sugar. :)

I think I'll have to start a new blog for political posts!!
I just heard the President of the United States state that "only the Federal Government has the resources" to get us out of this economic problem that we are facing as a nation. The last time I looked the Federal Government has NO RESOURCES. All the resources are all, at least for now, in the hands of the people of the country and, unfortunately, the COUNTRIES that own our debt. Yes that's right we have a National Debt. Remember the National Debt? The thing that for so many years everyone was concerned about? That the Dems were concerned about when there was a Republican President? The burden we will place on our children's, children's, children by mortgaging our future and spending money WE DO NOT HAVE Do you remember that big thing?? I do.
If you have not thought about the National Debt in sometime here it is:

$10, 728,811,857.59
over $10 Trillion Dollars!!!!!
and it is GROWING at the rate of $3.44BILLION per day.
If you have a debt that large and you are borrowing more to pay everyday bills - guess what? YOU HAVE NO MONEY!! YOU HAVE NO RESOURCES!!!
How could your family survive like this?
So you might ask yourself what is another Trillion here or there right? What is the big deal? After all we just spent $750,000,000.00 or so in the waning days of the last President. Remember that was supposed to have some impact on the situation. But, it HAD NO effect on the economy.
I hear that the current size of the stimulus bill is enough to pay off about 95% of ALL mortgages in the country. If they are going to spend the money wouldn't that be a better way to free up the money of ordinary Americans and get the consumer driven economy back on track. Better yet why not build thousands of concrete highrises and move all of us into them at government expense and eliminate the need for private housing altogether. Here are some places we might get to enjoy.

Political rant brought to you by Kevin. The rest of the family should be excused from any recrimination.
