Photo Op

A couple of weeks ago we had an interesting opportunity. The boys were able to volunteer at an event in Downtown KC. Kevin and I were able to tag along with them. (Sarah wanted to be there, but she had a previous commitment and Becca opted out) The speaker at the event was Michael Steele, the chairman of the RNC. Very good speaker. We were able to get a few photos with him, as you can see below:

After the event we went to Crown Center and had dinner at Fritz's Railroad Restaurant. It was a really neat place. This is how you order: Orders at Fritz's Railroad Restaurant are called in from the booths on a telephone. A server brings the drinks, but the food is delivered by "Skat Cat" on the overhead track. A mechanical arm stops your order at the platform above your table, which then lowers to deliver your food. This rig is a bit noisy and everyone watches when a meal is delivered.~~Kathy~~~
